鳥羽僧正作と伝えられる。絵巻物の傑作。全４巻の内、猿・兎・蛙の戯れる甲巻と、けもの達の生態を描いた乙巻を拡大しています。
Long attributed to Toba Sojo, this work is a masterpiece of scroll paintings. Of the four scrolls, Scroll 1, depicting monkeys,rabbits, and frogs frolicking, and Scroll 2, depicting the lives of various beasts , are displayed here.
