施設概要／outline

「京都府立陶板名画の庭」は、名画の美しさをそのままに再現した丈夫な陶板画を安藤忠雄氏設計の施設に展示するもので、屋外で鑑賞できる世界で初めての絵画庭園です。
"Garden of Fine Art, Kyoto" features eight classic works of art beautifully recreated on strong porcelain panels in a facility designed by Tadao Ando.This is the world's first outdoor art garden.

陶板画は全部で８点。このうち「最後の審判」など４点は「１９９０年国際花と緑の博覧会」に出品されたもので、「テラスにて」など４点はこの施設のために新しく制作されたものです。
Four of works, including Michelangelo's "Last Judgment", were featured at "The 1990 International Greenery Exposition",and another four,including Renoir's "On The Terrace",were newly created for this facility.

これらの陶板画は、堺屋太一氏の発案企画により、ダイコク電機株式会社代表取締役栢森新治氏から京都府に寄贈されたものです。
The idea for these panels was proposed by Taiichi Sakaiya,and made possible through the generous donation of Shinji Kayamori,CEO of Daikoku Denki Co,LTD.
